Alice Paylor Chosen as President-Elect for South Carolina Bar
Alice F. Paylor, an attorney with Rosen Hagood, was recently elected to serve as President-Elect of the South Carolina Bar. Paylor’s practice focuses primarily on complex commercial litigation, employment litigation and education law. Her previous positions with the Bar include treasurer and secretary. In addition, since 2005 she has served as a member of the SC Bar Board of Governors and from 2000 to present as a member of its House of Delegates, of which she is a Past Chair.
She was admitted to practice in the State of South Carolina in 1977 and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. She is an active member of the South Carolina Women Lawyers Association and served as its President during 2006. Ms. Paylor is also a permanent member of the Fourth Circuit Judicial Conference and a member of the Charleston County Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Ms. Paylor graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received her law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law.
