Rosen Hagood Attorney Elizabeth Nicholson Joins Board of Directors for Going Places

Charleston, SC. – Rosen Hagood is pleased to announce that attorney Elizabeth Nicholson has joined the Board of Directors for Going Places.

“It’s an honor to be asked to serve on the board of Going Places,” said Elizabeth Nicholson. “I have volunteered with the group for several years and look forward to being a part of the leadership team.”

Going Places founder, Katie Blomquist, was a first-grade teacher in a low-income elementary school. She had a 6-year student named Jawan who wanted a bike for his birthday and it shocked Katie to learn he had never owned one. In 2017 she started Going Places and the signature program “Give a Bike, Give Joy” has provided custom bicycles, locks and helmets to over 2,000 disadvantaged children in the Charleston area.

“Our success is due to the leadership of our board and the support from the business community,” said Blomquist. “We are so grateful that business leaders and professionals like Elizabeth are willing to commit their time and talents to the advancement of JOY for these children.”

Nicholson practices in the areas of business and commercial litigation, construction law and litigation, and personal injury. Prior to joining Rosen Hagood, Elizabeth served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable R. Lawton McIntosh, Tenth Judicial Circuit.
