Rosen Hagood Buddies Up for Special Olympics
To quote the movie The Big Lebowski, “Dude – let’s go bowling!” On Wednesday, December 4, six Rosen Hagood lawyers and staffers did just that, in the South Carolina Bar Young Lawyers Division’s sixth annual Bowling Buddies fundraiser for the South Carolina Special Olympics.
At the event, Special Olympics athletes teamed up with attorneys for a night of bowling and burgers at The Alley in Charleston, hosted by local Young Lawyers Division members. From Rosen Hagood, Andrew Gowdown, Elizabeth Nicholson, Brianna Martinez, Dana Beltz, Claire Whitsett and Taylor Davis teamed up with about 24 athletes and 7 other area law firms who participated in the event. Elizabeth Nicholson of Rosen Hagood was one of the event organizers.
Special Olympics South Carolina’s mission is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.
