Elizabeth Nicholson Helps Get Charleston Moving

November 6th, at Cannon Green, Rosen Hagood sponsored the 5th Annual Pedal & Panache gala fundraiser for Charleston Moves. Several hundred guests at the event enjoyed live music by Charleston’s own The Black Diamond Band, an open bar, hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction with tickets to Charleston’s hottest events, certificates to fine dining, shops and experiences, original handmade goods and artwork, and much more.

Founded in the 1990s, Charleston Moves is a nonprofit organization that encourages mobility by bicycle, foot and public transit for the improved health and well-being of greater Charleston — our people, neighborhoods, business districts and overall economic competitiveness. When people are able to ride a bike, walk or use public transit, it means equitable opportunities, an improved local economy, opportunities for civic engagement, cleaner air and water, climate change mitigation, improved public health, and reduced traffic congestion. For Charleston Moves, progress is people powered.

Spearheading the firm’s presence at the event was Rosen Hagood’s Elizabeth Nicholson, whose practice focuses on personal injury and construction litigation. As a fourth-generation attorney, South Carolina native, and longtime Charleston resident, Elizabeth is rooted and invested in the Charleston community. Said Nicholson, “Charleston Moves is all about helping build a healthier, more sustainable and more connected community. It was a natural fit, and a cause we are delighted to support.”
