Rosen Hagood Attorney Receives the Inaugural G. Dewey Oxner Jr. Mentor of the Year Award

Rosen Hagood partner, Alice Paylor was one of five attorneys to receive the Inaugural G. Dewey Oxner Jr. Mentor of the Year Award at the South Carolina Bar Convention Plenary Luncheon on Friday, January 23, 2015.  The recipients exemplify the highest standards of civility, integrity and professionalism.

Paylor has dedicated many years of service to the South Carolina Bar. She has served as Bar President, on the Board of Governors, and in the House of Delegates.  In addition to serving in these leadership roles, Paylor has mentored eight new lawyers since 2009.  Her commitment to mentees extends beyond the formal mentor relationship as she continues to host informal get-togethers and provide critical guidance.

“We understand the importance of mentoring young lawyers,” said Richard Rosen, partner.  “We are proud that the Bar has recognized Alice for her efforts to assist young lawyers in early stages of their career.”

Paylor’s practice focuses primarily on complex commercial litigation, employment litigation, and school law. She holds the highest professional rankings, including the Martindale-Hubbell AV rating. Paylor has also received the Super Lawyers distinction in South Carolina and is listed in The Best Lawyers in America for commercial litigation and litigation – labor and employment.
