As a fourth-generation attorney, Elizabeth F. Nicholson is proud to follow in her family’s footsteps. Elizabeth’s passion for public interest and problem solving naturally led her to practice law and continues to motivate her as she works to achieve results that are in her clients’ best interests.

At Rosen Hagood, Elizabeth focuses in the areas of business and commercial litigation, construction law and litigation, personal injury, real estate litigation, and employment law. In her construction practice, Elizabeth represents general contractors, subcontractors, and residential homeowners in construction defect claims, mechanic’s lien claims, and payment disputes. Elizabeth also has experience representing homeowners in real estate contract disputes and termite damage litigation. Her personal injury practice covers many areas, including motor vehicle collisions, wrongful death, premises liability, traumatic brain injuries, and sexual harassment. Elizabeth has advised both employees and employers regarding employment contracts, employment disputes, and wrongful termination.

Elizabeth is actively involved in her community and in the firm. She is on the board of two Charleston area nonprofits, Going Places and Yo Art, both of which provide opportunities to disadvantaged children in the Charleston area school systems. Within the firm, Elizabeth acts as the culture and community service chair in which she plans community outreach activities and in-firm initiatives to increase cultural awareness.

Prior to joining Rosen Hagood, Elizabeth served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable R. Lawton McIntosh, Tenth Judicial Circuit. Elizabeth received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Historic Preservation and Community Planning from the College of Charleston and earned her J.D., cum laude, from the Charleston School of Law. While in law school, she served as Treasurer of the Public Interest Legal Society and also worked as a law clerk with the firm during the summers of 2013 and 2014.
