Oana D. Johnson focuses on complex insurance and commercial litigation, advocating for individuals and small businesses in a wide range of cases. Her practice encompasses insurance coverage disputes, bad faith claims, ERISA matters, and serious personal injury claims.

Driven by a passion for justice, Oana pursued a legal career that spans two continents. While attending Valachia University School of Law in Romania, she met her husband, Mark, while she served as a translator during a mission trip where he was repairing orphanages in Romania. She then immigrated to the United States and began working as a litigation paralegal, first for Ness, Motley, Loadholdt, Richardson and Poole, and subsequently for George J. Kefalos, PA.

With nine years of paralegal experience under her belt, Oana returned to school to obtain her American Juris Doctor from the Charleston School of Law in 2011. Throughout her law school studies, and after graduation, she continued to work for George J. Kefalos, PA as a paralegal and later a licensed attorney before launching her own law firm. She joined Rosen Hagood in September 2024.

Oana’s practice areas include insurance coverage disputes, bad faith insurance and fraud, long and short-term disability benefit claims, life insurance claims, agent liability cases, commercial insurance disputes, ERISA claims, business litigation, and serious personal injury claims. Her multicultural background and dedication to her clients make her a valuable asset to the Charleston legal community.
