Two Rosen Hagood Attorneys Chosen as 2012 South Carolina Rising Stars

CHARLESTON, SC — Rosen Hagood is pleased to announce that Andrew D. Gowdown and James A. “Chip” Bruorton, IV have been named to the Super Lawyers 2012 South Carolina Rising Stars list as three of the top up-and-coming attorneys in the state. Each year no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in South Carolina are granted this honor.

Andrew Gowdown was selected to the 2012 South Carolina Rising Stars list for his practice in the areas of personal injury and business litigation. Mr. Gowdown serves on the Editorial Board of South Carolina Lawyer,he is a member of the Executive Committee of the Charleston County Bar Association, and he is the Immediate Past Chairman of the Young Lawyers Section of the International Society of Primerus Law Firms. He also volunteers twice a week through the Charleston Book Buddies Program and was chosen as a recipient of the 2012 Forty Under 40 award by the Charleston Regional Business Journal.

Chip Bruorton was selected for the 2012 South Carolina Rising Stars list for his practice of construction litigation . Mr. Bruorton is actively involved in the American Bar Association’s Forum on the Construction Industry and the Carolina Association of General Contractors. He received his Bachelors of Science degree in Financial Management from Clemson University in May 2000 and earned his juris doctorate degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law in May 2003.
