New Bar President to Push Diversity, Access to Justice
Addressing Judicial Budget Crisis Also on Agenda
Enhancing the public’s understanding of the legal system and addressing the state’s shrinking judicial budget are the top priorities of new State Bar President Richard S. Rosen. Rosen, a partner in the Charleston firm of Rosen Rosen & Hagood, took the helm of the South Carolina Bar’s Executive Committee May 17 during the House of Delegates meeting. He said he would bolster diversity in the Bar’s leadership. “In my administration, there are going to be additional appointments of women and minorities,” he told Lawyers Weekly. Rosen also said he would strive to ensure equal access to justice for South Carolinians.
