Beth Palmer Appointed as Chair of the ABA YLD’s Public Education Law Committee
CHARLESTON, SC – Beth Palmer, an attorney with Rosen, Rosen & Hagood, LLC, was appointed as Chair of the American Bar Association (ABA) Young Lawyers Division’s (YLD) Public Education Law Committee. The YLD Public Education Committee focuses on increasing the public’s understanding of and access to the legal system. The members work closely with the ABA’s Division for Public Education to help them achieve their mission of promoting public understanding of the law and its role in society and to help connect young lawyers with society’s most valuable resources, its people.
“The greatest investment a person can make in his or her own life is education. As attorneys we are fortunate to have had plenty of education and should consider it our duty and privilege to give back, to invest in other people, and, as a result, to invest in the future of our country,” said Palmer.
Palmer’s goals for the year include working closely with fellow members to increase the activity and visibility of the Committee and to promote opportunities to participate in public education activities occurring through the ABA and elsewhere.
Palmer joined Rosen Hagood in 2005 and practices in the areas of business and commercial litigation,employment law, school law, and personal injury. She has been admitted to practice in the state of South Carolina, the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and is a member of the Charleston Bar Association, the South Carolina Bar, and the American Bar Association. She received her Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned her law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law.
