Alice F. Paylor Named One of Nation’s Top Lawyers
CHARLESTON, SC – August 25, 2010 – Commercial litigation attorney Alice F. Paylor with the Charleston firm of Rosen, Rosen & Hagood was recognized with a listing in the 2011 edition of The Best Lawyers in America. The prestigious reference guide is compiled through peer-review surveys in which thousands of leading lawyers confidentially evaluate their professional peers.
Paylor, who currently serves as Secretary of the South Carolina Bar Association, focuses primarily on complex commercial litigation, employment litigation and education law. She was admitted to practice in South Carolina in 1977 and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.
Paylor becomes the third attorney at her firm listed in The Best Lawyers in America. Firm partners Richard S. Rosen and H. Brewton Hagood were listed in previous editions as well as the new 2011 edition.

A native of Greenville, SC, Paylor resides on Sullivan’s Island near Charleston with her husband and their two children. Her extensive community involvement includes serving as Chair of the Sullivans Island Board of Zoning Appeals. She formerly served on the Charleston County Bar Association’s Executive Committee, the American Bar Association’s Special Committee on Housing and Urban Development Law, the South Carolina Bar’s Convention Committee and Judicial Qualifications Committee, as Secretary and Treasurer of the South Carolina Bar’s Young Lawyers Division and as Treasurer and President of the South Carolina Women Lawyers Association. She recently finished a two year stint as Chair of the House of Delegates for the South Carolina Bar.
