Beth’s legal practice focuses on the areas of business litigation, probate litigation, administrative and government law, employment law, and education law. Her ability to tackle complex issues and lead others through legal obstacles makes her well-suited for both her practice and for making a difference in our community. Beth spends time getting to know her clients to fully understand their objectives in order to protect and advance their best interests. For the past five years, she has held the highest possible rating from Martindale-Hubbell® and has been selected to the South Carolina Rising Stars List in business litigation by Super Lawyers.*
In her business and commercial litigation practice, Beth represents a wide range of businesses and industries, including hospitality groups, real estate developers, non-profits, distributors, and professionals. She advises and represents clients on issues they face in day-to-day operations, such as employment matters, contract negotiations, and risk management, among others. When disputes arise, Beth guides her clients to a solution that best meets their needs, whether that is through litigation, mediation, or arbitration.
In her probate, estate, and trust litigation practice, Beth has represented a variety of clients, including estate representatives, fiduciaries, heirs, beneficiaries, and others. She regularly helps her clients resolve matters related to trust disputes, probate administration, will contests, undue influence and coercion, issues of capacity, and breaches of fiduciary duty.
Outside of her practice, Beth takes pride in devoting a great deal of time to professional and community organizations. Beth has been actively involved with the American Bar Association (ABA) for the past seven years. She currently chairs the Bullyproof Committee of the ABA’s Section of Civil Rights and Social Justice. Beth was instrumental in the creation and development of Bullyproof, an anti-bullying initiative that has been implemented in schools throughout the nation since 2013. Locally, Beth serves as a Board Member for Be A Mentor, a local non-profit empowering youth to reach their full potential through mentorship.
Beth obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She received her law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law.
